PolySoft’s flexible, seamless surfaces lay the groundwork for memorable experiences in wet and dry play areas that attract children all year round. We’ve dedicated years of research to solving the problems of playground surfacing. Our solutions can be customised to suit different applications and ensure that kids and adults have fun in safe and appealing environments.
Where brilliant sunlight creates superheated conditions, PolySoft’s specially developed surfaces remain significantly cooler than rubber or artificial grass.
Porous and non-porous PolySoft surfaces allow playground developers to channel water as required. Whether you need a non-slip, easy-clean, non-permeable surface in a splash park or at water’s edge; or a soft-fall playground that drains during rain, our surfaces provide a variety of options.
The poured application of PolySoft products means they can be seamlessly integrated with other playground features or design elements.
And because they can be delivered in a vast array of colours and designs, PolySoft surfaces make a distinctive and attractive point of difference for real-estate developers, resorts and hotels. We also work with high-end designers and architects to create unique surface landscapes such as beaches and lagoons.
We want to get our communities moving! Encourage people to stretch their legs with a purpose-built running track, shoot hoops at basketball, or develop their backhand on match- perfect courts for neighbourhood tennis competitions.
SportMaster brings advanced technology to surfaces that offer sport-specific, optimum performance for players and facility operators. Its 100% acrylic resins ensure long-term resilience against the elements and longevity under the sun.
Lay the sporting groundwork for a healthy society, and set the scene for community cohesion by providing courts in local team colours.
Hotels and entertainment venues can up their game with facilities that energise their clientele. Playgrounds designed to encourage imaginative play can jump the fence to engage growing children and adults in next-level activity.
The quintessential landscaping luxury is a pool, whether designed for laps, a cooling plunge, or for swimming against a never-ending, machine generated tide.
Australian innovator Jewels 4 Pools provides pearlescent pure-glass pool finishes in colours that conjure the sea in all its many hues. And being made up of glass beads, the colour experience never diminishes or loses its charm. Its star quality never fades.
At home or the Hyatt, in schools or resort-style complexes, pools provide relief from heat and an opportunity to exercise in buoyant comfort.
Let us integrate a cooling experience into your environment.
The playground challenge is – through shapes, materials, colour and movement to stimulate children’s imagination and development.
Play Concept, a playground design, planning and building specialist, takes play “outside the box” in themed and abstract play equipment, water-play opportunities and climbing walls.
Safety is paramount to Play Concept designs, but this does nothing to detract from the inviting, adventurous experience of its projects.
Elements of fantasy, popular culture and technology can be integrated into Play Concept’s nurturing environments that resonate with children and adults alike. Its development process is collaborative and brings other P.O.P. Works partners into play to meet the highest industry standards.
Playground developers, from local governments to entertainment venues, are invited to let their imaginations run wild.
Playworld’s envisages the playground as the ultimate common ground. Its simultaneously safe and exciting environments offer equal opportunities for all children, welcoming wheelchairs and inviting kids of all abilities to challenge themselves, cooperate and make music — drums and chiming bells are all part of the action.
Inclusive design and craftsmanship are two of Playworld’s core values, incorporated in equipment for both early childhood and school-age kids.
Its professionals can help you build inclusivity into every playground aspect: for example, wide pathways with firm surfaces help people of all abilities move about with confidence; stainless steel slippery dips invite kids with cochlear implants to participate (hurtling down plastic slides generates an electrostatic charge that can interfere with the hearing devices); and there are many fun wheelchair accessible structures to choose from when designing a play area for all abilities.
Having a diversity of friends and companions enriches all our lives. Including everyone in stimulating playground activities lets children appreciate and delight in different responses and approaches to play.
Norna Playgrounds harnesses nature for playful nurture. Its playground stockades, palisades and balancing challenges are made of sturdy sustainable hardwood (sourced from Robinia plantations); ropey spiderwebs and grids encourage young climbers.
The company’s modular pre-drilling system for Robinia timber enables its claim to the playground market’s shortest production time: standard designs are shipped in four to six weeks, while custom items can be on their way in eight to twelve weeks.
Fast to deliver, Norna Playgrounds are slow to age, enduring for up to 32 years — an adventure that traverses the generations.
Norna’s sustainable cred grows every year. Its Denmark-based production facility is now powered almost entirely by onsite renewable sources — solar and geothermal. And it predominantly uses recycled cardboard to protect its products for transport — proof that being playful can also incorporate being mindful of the environment.
Swedish/Polish-based HAGS makes outdoor “accessories” that invite people to eat out, cook alfresco, participate in community life and take photos. We’re talking Instagrammable benches, barbecues, shade structures, exercise opportunities and rubbish bins — street furniture that you’ll be proud to be seen with.
Comfort, aesthetics and durability are inherent in these products that set the tone for municipal parks, extend the use of playgrounds to mealtimes and social gatherings, and make being outdoors more fun think colour, sleek curves and funky angles.
HAGS provides the infrastructure for people to sit and talk, exercise together, read in the shade, bask in the sunshine and leave no trace so the next person can enjoy the space.
Park your bicycle at the communal stand, unpack your picnic, and sit and savour your sandwich, the view and the passing parade of people from this neighbourhood. German design and manufacturing firm, Nusser Statmöbel has been supporting community life for 90 years in the most elegant ways.
Long, sinuous timber benches that wind around the curves of flower beds or lakesides are among its signature pieces. But have you heard of standing seats that let you lean into waiting for a friend? And what about a bench that ripples to provide lying, sitting, cradling opportunities all in one?
Nusser invites you to reimagine street furniture.
Traditional craftsmanship combined with industrial manufacturing techniques mean Nusser can deliver beautifully finished furniture fast. And recognising that every city and municipality is different, it can also custom design street furniture to suit your needs. From the prosaic — ashtrays, dog-bag dispensers and durable waste receptacles — to the surprising, Nusser will complete the outdoor experience you seek to create.
Skateboard culture never goes out of style as generation after generation of skateboarders pit themselves against the mounds and barrels, pause on the spine of a ramp, launch themselves into the bowl and leap the Euro gap.
Perhaps the most important thing to decide is whether you want an above-ground park, in which “features” are built with steel frames or timber frames on a flat, firm surface; or an in-ground skatepark which moulds concrete into a series of features that roll above and below ground.
Kid magnets, skate parks are all about perfecting moves that hone balance, timing, strength and coordination.
Let P.O.P. Works put you in the picture, help you understand the lingo, and decide on some design and cost parameters to suit your community.
A pump track is like a skate park on steroids. Designed for bicycles, which are obviously bigger than boards, they need to allow more room to move, and building a pump track into a sporting or recreational facility is a commitment to the local cycling fraternity.
Any smaller-wheeled (26-inch/66cm) bicycles, from Enduro styles to BMX, can be used on a pump track. The sport encourages participants to go on a journey of practice, acceleration and stepping up to purpose-designed bicycles known as “hardtails”. Pump track riders never sit down while riding but constantly use their arms and legs to perform tricks and turns around the circuit — an extraordinary cardio workout.
Building a pump track could spawn an industry — of bike shops, and mechanics — in your municipality. It requires major earthworks, and an investment in surfacing, but once in place, it can also be used by skateboarders — perhaps on designated days.
Talk to P.O.P. Works about the ins and outs of pump tracks.
